Mexico City, Mexico (April 2023)

After a particularly hellish orthopaedic surgery rotation (it was only 3 weeks long but felt like an eternity), I escaped to Mexico City. I’ve never been south of the USA before and I had a great time. The Museo Nacional de Antropología was an absolute behemoth of a place, with so much history and culture packed into an enormous space. I spent a whole day in there and still didn’t manage to take in everything. Other highlights included tacos, greenery, the Trotsky museum, and wandering around with people from my hostel.
