Berlin, Germany (New Year’s Eve 2018)

This was my second trip to Berlin in the dead of winter, but this time I decided to be here for New Year’s Eve as opposed to arriving immediately after like the previous year. In short, NYE in Berlin >>>>> NYE anywhere else. I also realized that for an ISO 100 film, Ektar does surprisingly well in grey, wintry weather. I actually think I prefer it in this setting. In sunny settings it can almost be too punchy - in downcast weather it’s perfect for bringing the colour out of a dreary scene (e.g. the vibrant red of the truck)
